Gozzer Ranch celebrities who smoke

Stoner Day "420" celebrated online by celebrities in the USA

Social smoking weed in the corona crisis: prominent marijuana friends, including country star Willie Nelson and musician actor Jeff Bridges, celebrated the traditional stoner day "420" on Monday with an online event.

On April 20 - the date abbreviated to 4/20 - cannabis meetings usually take place in the USA, which had to be canceled this year due to the corona pandemic. In San Francisco, for example, the annual smoke-in, which usually attracts 15,000 stoners to Golden Gate Park, was canceled.

Instead, Nelson ("On the Road Again") invited to a streaming event hosted by the country legend with son Lukas from his ranch in Texas. "Cannabis is a plant that is good for you and reduces anxiety," said the longtime stoner and advocate of legalization. Artists like Ziggy Marley, Jack Johnson, Wynonna Judd and Billy Ray Cyrus joined the live stream. Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey congratulated Nelson on his upcoming 87th birthday on April 29th.

The action started in the afternoon at 4:20 pm (local time) and, according to stoner tradition, was scheduled for four hours and twenty minutes. Nelson also wanted to collect donations for the "Last Prisoner Project", which works for the release of prisoners who have been convicted of minor drug offenses.

Legal smoking is still on the rise in North America. 33 US states now allow the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes or for personal enjoyment, but the drug is still banned under federal law.
